Important Limitation
Standard Business Verification is not supported for coexistence accounts. For coexistence setups, see Meta Verified for Business.
Before You Start
- Active HTTPS website with business details matching portfolio records
- Business email on the same website domain
- Accurate legal or trade name consistency across documents and online presence
- Verification phone (if used) able to receive SMS or calls
Only an authorized representative of the business should upload verification documents.
Standard Flow
- Open Meta Business Suite → Security Center → Start Verification.
- Select your business (or continue with manual document flow if not listed).
- Verify via code (SMS, call, or email) or use the verified domain route.
- Upload legal-name proof and address/phone proof when requested.
- Submit and wait for review.
- Track result in Security Center.
Troubleshooting
Start Verification button is missing
- Portfolio is not yet eligible.
- Required Business Info fields are incomplete.
- WhatsApp setup is still in a limited-access stage.
Verification rejected
- Review the rejection reason in Security Center.
- Open a Meta support case from the rejection card.
- Resubmit with corrected documents that exactly match legal and portfolio details.
Ownership Warning
The Meta Business Portfolio used for verification should be owned by the real business entity that sends messages. Poor ownership hygiene or unrelated user access can increase account risk.
